Miep Art

Julietta is a Spanish language educator, curriculum designer, writer and illustrator. As a child (nicknamed “Miep”), she sketched and wrote for hours every day, creating stories about an imaginary world. She has revisited this passion during the COVID-19 pandemic, using comics as a medium to address surreal elements of modern life and motherhood. Her comics appear in Portland’s The Hollywood Star News as well as four issues of The Immigrant Story newsletter. She enjoys collaborating, and welcomes recommendations for new pieces!
